About Us..
My name is Sushi, my husband & I made the leap of faith 5 years ago to leave the big city to build our own homestead.
A little slideshow of our off grid life...
Our homestead is 8 acres half is wooded
The other half is open land we use for organic growing, raising chickens & playing bocce ball ;-)
A morning harvest
Well water filtration system. We have red clay dirt so we have 3 outdoor and 3 indoor filters for fresh clean water!
We raise egg chickens. Easter eggers make colorful eggs and they are our friends.
We installed a woodstove for free heat!
Self installed solar system. Twelve 100 watt solar panels & 4 200 Amp hr lithium batteries.
I made little hideout areas all over the property, this in me in the Secret Garden.
My husband started getting cocky and with his off grid success and built a room expansion.
We gutted the shed that came with the property and built everything from floor to ceiling
